New urgent care facility coming to Asheboro

ASHEBORO — Construction has begun on a new urgent care facility in Asheboro. 

Fast Pace Urgent Care will be located at 508 N. Fayetteville St., between Hunsucker Printing and El Amigo Tires.

Fast Pace Health, its parent company based at Franklin, TN, has a network of more than 285 facilities in Tennessee, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Indiana, Alabama and Arkansas. The Asheboro center will be the third in North Carolina, along with those soon to open in Morganton and Spindale.

The Asheboro facility will be approximately 3,600 square feet and is expected to be ready for opening in April or May. 

It’s interesting to note that, according to Randolph County GIS, the site was once a part of the Randolph County fairground, which included land from Hunsucker Printing to Betts Street, from Fayetteville Street to beyond Tryon Street.

Fast Pace Urgent Care was founded in 2009 with the first clinic in Collinwood, TN. The company sent the following press release:
