Keeping with the times

Betsy Isley, Kathie Thompson and Patsyanna Barker, members of Col. Andrew Balfour Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, volunteered their creative talents to decorate the 1839 Asheboro Female Academy for Christmas this year, using decorations authentic to the 1830s. The academy is located at 530 W. Walker Avenue, in the shadow of Asheboro High School and South Asheboro Middle School.
