Southwestern Randolph hosts 50th class reunion

Southwestern Randolph High School Class of 1975 celebrated its 50th class reunion on Saturday, Oct. 4, in the school’s commons area. 

About 100 folks gathered with over half being classmates for a meal and fellowship. 

Special guests included former teachers Barbara Carter, Rachel Goad Cagle and Don Rich. The buffet-style meal was catered by classmate Franky Rice of Asheboro. 

Opening remarks were made by Steve Castelloe, co-captain of the varsity basketball team and son of the former school principal, GC Castelloe. 

Classmates traveled from California and Tennessee to attend. Those assembled also enjoyed classmate trivia, music of their era, photo sessions and observed a remembrance of their classmates who have passed.
