ASHEBORO — Residents across Randolph County are invited to take part in two National Night Out events tomorrow, Tuesday, August 5, 2025, being held in Asheboro and Archdale.
National Night Out is an annual event held on the first Tuesday in August, designed to build ‘positive relationships between communities and local law enforcement.’ With free, family-friendly activities like food, games, music, and chances to meet police, firefighters, and EMS, with the goal of bringing together neighbors and promoting safer neighborhoods.
Hosted at the Asheboro-Randolph YMCA (343 NC Highway 42 N), this event runs from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and features law enforcement and first responders from across the county, interactive displays of patrol cars, fire trucks, ambulances, and specialty units, as well as community resource booths, giveaways, and free food including hot dogs, snacks, and drinks. Families can also enjoy kids’ activities, access to the YMCA splash pad, and live entertainment by local performers Jace Burroughs, son of a North Carolina State Highway Patrol Trooper, and Austin Parks, a dedicated local firefighter.
“This is a great opportunity for families to meet the people behind the badges, ask questions, and build lasting connections,” said Sheriff Greg Seabolt in a press release about the event.
