Asheboro starting doubles shuffleboard league

ASHEBORO — The City of Asheboro will be offering a Fall Shuffleboard Doubles League for adults ages 50 and up.

 Not completely sure how to play or keep score? Don’t worry. City officials will provide all the equipment and go over all the rules.

The local league is available for men and women. Partners can be comprised of two males, two females or one male and one female. 

Play will be on Tuesday mornings and Thursday mornings during October and November. A set schedule of games and times will culminate with a tournament to determine the 1st through 3rd place teams. A league T-shirt is included in the registration fee of $10 per person.

Registration is required in advance and space is limited. Individuals must pre-register online at https://asheborocrs.recdesk.com/Community/Program or at the Asheboro Cultural & Recreation Services office, 241 Sunset Ave. Registration is open now through Sept. 26.
