Easter Drama takes place at Oakhurst Baptist Church
Oakhurst Baptist Church in Asheboro will present a special Easter Worship Drama based off of Leonardo da Vinci’s Last Supper. Jesus announces His imminent betrayal and the disciples react (they freeze in this pose). Each of the disciples share about their walk with Jesus. There is music laced within the drama. Jesus and His disciples share the Last Supper, then Jesus is arrested and crucified. Then comes the return of the resurrected Jesus.
The entire drama lasts about an hour and 20 minutes. It’s free and open to the public with seating available for about 400 people. Annually, the drama is performed on Palm Sunday Night at 6 p.m. and again on Good Friday Night at 7 p.m.
Oakhurst Baptist Church is located at 2225 S. Fayetteville St., Asheboro.
