All concerts kick off at 6:30 p.m. with an opening act scheduled by RhinoLeap Productions, followed by the tribute band performance starting at 8 p.m. Past years have featured tribute bands for The Beatles, The Eagles (twice), Fleetwood Mac, Michael Jackson and more.

“We are thrilled to once again bring live music to Bicentennial Park on Friday nights through the Summer Concert Series,” said Addie Corder, Downtown Development Manager and Main Street Program Coordinator for the City of Asheboro. “This event not only creates a vibrant atmosphere for our community but also brings significant economic impact, with over 18,000 people visiting downtown Asheboro throughout the season.
Meanwhile, the City of Asheboro Summer Concert Series, now celebrating more than 20 years of free Sunday evening concerts, continues its long-standing tradition with performances on select Sundays, all beginning at 6 p.m.
- May 18 / The Entertainers
- June 8 / EnVision
- July 20 / Band of Oz
- August 10 / Special Occasion Band
- September 7 / Eric & the Chill Tones
“Both concert series would not be possible without the support of the community, our generous sponsors, and the growing number of attendees,” said Pam Hester, Sunday Summer Concert Series Organizer with the City of Asheboro. “We look forward to our best concert season yet.”
