Jake Goforth Band to debut at Bluegrass Night

ASHEBORO — For the first time, Friday Night Bluegrass will welcome the Jake Goforth Band to the Sunset Theatre, 234 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. The show will begin at 7 p.m.

 

Asheboro Cultural and Recreation Services offers Friday Night Bluegrass the third Friday of every month. 

 

The Friday Night Bluegrass series presents local and regional bluegrass talent. The Jake Goforth Band is from the Troy, NC, area. Goforth is 16 years old and began playing guitar at age 7. He brings a powerful, hard-driving sound and has shared the stage with such artists as Dan Tyminski, Rhonda Vincent and the Rage, the Gibson Brothers, and Sideline. 

 

The Jake Goforth Band consists of Goforth on guitar, Chance Parrish on banjo, Adam Frazier on bass, Spencer Strickland on mandolin and Jim Boren on dobro. 

 

Tickets for this performance are $8 in advance or $10 at the door. There will be no will call available. Advance tickets are available at the Asheboro Cultural & Recreation Services, 241 Sunset Ave., until 5:30 p.m. on the night of the show.
