Farmer Civitans breakfast for December is Saturday

The $10 All-You-Can-Eat meal includes hot coffee (reg & decaf), orange juice, sodas and water.

Breakfast is served from 7 to 10 a.m. down. Donations from the breakfast help provide “Christmas Bags” to shut-ins in the community, as well as support Special Olympics and other projects in the area.

Petty’s Garage Christmas Cruise-In set for Saturday

RANDLEMAN — Want to give yourself a Christmas treat with a free tour of the Petty Garage and Petty Museum? Here’s your chance.

On Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., both will be open to the public as part of the Petty’s Garage Christmas Cruise-In. The cruise-in and car show is open to all makes and models of cars with no pre-registration required. There are also free photo opportunities with Santa. Vendors of all types will be onsite, too.

The museum is located at 311 Branson Mill Road in Randleman.

Whynot’s Old-Fashioned Christmas set for Sunday

WHYNOT — The Annual Old-Fashioned Christmas in Whynot will be held on Sunday, Dec. 7, at 6 p.m.

The pine board walls at the “Old Fairgrove Methodist” church will ring with Christmas laughter and songs. Driving south on Hwy #705, turn left on Fork Creek Mill Road in Seagrove and the church is the first building on the right.

This year’s program will be presented in memory of Whynotian Billy Lee Spencer who, until his health wouldn’t allow it, was a leader in making sure that the Community Christmas continued each year and welcomed all who attended.

This year, Bobby Marsh, Scott Auman, The Strider Family and the congregation will celebrate the season in song. Hot cider and coffee with ginger snaps will be served at intermission.

Bring quilts if it is cold as no central heat is in the historical church. This is a free activity but donations are appreciated to compensate musicians.
