Pettyfest coming up

RANDLEMAN — If you have a car fit for a King, you’re tailor-made for Pettyfest.

On April 15, the Petty Museum and Garage, 311 Branson Mill Road, Randleman, will be the site for the 13th Annual Pettyfest, which offers drivers a rare chance to have The King, Richard Petty, meet with you and judge your automobile.

To participate in this unique car event, email Shannon Newman, Director of the Petty Family Foundation, at shannon@pettyfamilyfoundation.org.

Registrants get a meet and greet with the King, lunch for two, a limited-edition gift signed by Richard Petty and an opportunity to win a trophy.

Pettyfest takes place at the Petty Museum from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

In addition, Petty Museum and Garage are hosting a “Cruise-In.” The public is invited to cruise-in and show off their favorite classic, muscle and exotic cars or trucks, while helping to support the Petty Family Foundation.

The event will also included music, food and more.

Entry to the King’s Court is $430. Cost to join the Cruise-In is $25 (includes 2 people). There will be autographed Dash plaques for the first 100 cruise-in cars.

Admission otherwise to the events is $10 for 12 and up, $5 for kids 5-11 and free for kids 4 and under.
