The inaugural Vintage Oaks Antique Festival will take place on Oct. 2 and Oct. 3, 2026. Currently a wedding venue, it has ‘ample space for vendors and visitors alike.’
RAMSEUR — An antique festival will soon be united with a wedding venue.
The inaugural Vintage Oaks Antique Festival will be held in October at Vintage Oaks Farm, 209 Eastern Randolph Road, Ramseur. Then, beginning in 2027, the festival will be held each year on the last full weekends of April and September.
A press release by Debbie Holt and Vicki Caudle dated Feb. 5 says, in part, “Get ready treasure hunters and antique lovers — something special is coming to Randolph County. The Vintage Oaks Antique Festival is thrilled to announce its inaugural event, taking place Friday, Oct. 2 through Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026, across a beautiful setting at Vintage Oaks Farm in Ramseur, North Carolina.
“The festival promises curated vendors, unique finds, and classic festival charm. Attendees can expect an exceptional selection of authentic antiques, including furniture, pottery, military memorabilia, advertising pieces, antique tools, and much more. Strictly no crafts or reproductions. …”
At the bottom of the press release is a note about the organizers: “The Vintage Oaks Antique Festival is led by a collective group of businesswomen united by their passion for antiques and community. The festival is sponsored by Blue Horseshoe Antiques and Collectibles and Vintage Oaks Farm.”
Caudle, owner of Blue Horseshoe Antiques and Collectibles in Ramseur, said with the announced sale of the Liberty Antique Festival, she and Holt were concerned that there would be no such annual event in Randolph County. So they “decided to do it on our own. I already have vendors and Debbie and I have event experience. So we’re gonna do it.”
Since then there has been word, unverified by the Randolph Hub, that the Liberty Antique Festival has been sold and the new owner would move it to a site near Ramseur. That hasn’t deterred plans for Vintage Oaks.
“There’s no intention of competing,” Caudle said. “It will just bring more people into Randolph County. There are enough vendors to come. It’s going to be great.”
Holt, owner of Vintage Oaks Farm, said, “I’ve always liked old things. I’m excited about antiques. We’re going to give it our best shot.”
She said her farm once belonged to her parents. When they passed away, there was a fear that whoever bought the 35 acres would build a residential subdivision. So Holt bought it and kept it a working farm with long-horned cattle and other animals.
“I built the barn in 2018 for my son to get married in,” she said.
That worked out so well that she opened it up for other weddings and special events.
“I decided to do something different, to build the barn, and it worked out good,” she said. “The house (which her parents lived in) is about 140 years old and has a lot of character.”
Holt determined that any furnishings in the house would need to match its historic personality. So she’s filled it with objects that “I have to be in love with.”
In line with that, the press release goes on to say, “The festival will be held on the beautiful grounds of Vintage Oaks Farm, a location that blends rustic charm with ample space for vendors and visitors alike.”
Holt noted in the press release, “I’m excited to welcome the antique festival to the farm. The property is wonderfully suited for an event like this, with plenty of room for vendors, parking, and people who love antiques as much as we do.”
“We’re creating an event in Ramseur,” Caudle said. “We are all working together for a common cause, so all the (antique) shops do well. We’re very excited for the event.”
