ASHEBORO — Ladies and Gentlemen, start your guessing!

CLUE! is coming!

RSVP Community Theatre is putting all the weapons, the rooms, the colorful characters and the humorous suspense on stage for you to solve a dastardly crime.

Whodunnit? This is CLUE, a familiar household presence come to life.

What’s going to happen? CLUE! is a fast-moving physical comedy based on the Hasbro board game and the movie by the same name. The screenplay was penned by Jonathan Lynn, the play script by Hunter Foster, Eric Price and Sandy Rustin.

A multiplicity of methods, locations and personalities assures a delightful time at the theatre. And everyone is suspect.

CLUE: On Stage! will be presented at the Sunset Theatre on Oct. 28-29 and Nov. 4-5 at 7 p.m. each night with matiness each weekend at 2 p.m. on Sunday Oct. 30 and Nov. 6.

Colorful characters? A rainbow of them:

- Colonel Mustard portrayed by Victor Slaughter.

- Mrs. White brought to life by Emily Williamson.

- Mrs. Peacock acted by Deana Slaughter.

- Ms. Scarlet by well-known RSVP player Alicia Kellum.

- Professor Plum, the inimitable Jason Mandara.

- Mr. Green is Philip Schuyler.

Supplementing this spectrum of roles are Wadsworth (John Halsey), Yvette (Parris Lee), The Cook (Lauren Wood), Mr. Boddy (Dan Bressler), Motorist (Elijah LaPrise), Unexpected Cop (Brandon Rancourt), Chief of Police (Charlie White), and, in a cameo role, Alisa Smith McNeill.

Many of the cast are already familiar to RSVP playgoers. CLUE! is also rich in first-timers — the basis of an even richer future: John Halsey, Emily Williamson, Lauren Wood, Deana Slaughter all have previous stage experience but this is their inaugural run with the local group.

Directing the production is Justin Tarlton, veteran of many previous shows dating back to the 1990. Stage Manager is Tammy Willcox. Alisa Smith McNeill and Michele Dawes are co-producers of this effort.

Tickets will be available at the door (cash, check or card), at Brightside Gallery (cash and check only), and online at Eventbrite (www.eventbrite.com/cc/clue-2022-1192999).

Prices are $19 for adult orchestra seats; $14 for child, senior, military.  Balcony prices are $16 and $11 in the same categories.
