Soup’s on in Ramseur for Soup Bowl Saturday

RAMSEUR — The Ramseur Area Civitan Club is again hosting a Soup Bowl Saturday this year.

The event is set for Feb. 15 at Jordan Memorial United Methodist Church, 1511 Main Street, Ramseur, where it has been held previously. Event times are 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

Soup choices include:

- Broccoli Cheese Soup.

- Chicken & Noodle.

- Cowboy Bean Soup.

- Hamburger Soup.

- Minestrone.

- Potato Soup .

- Taco Soup.

- Veggie Beef.

- White Chicken Chili.

Soup prices are:

- $6 for a pint of soup to go.

- $12 for all you can eat soup, a drink and a dessert.

- $20 for a hand-crafted pottery bowl, all you can eat soup, drink and dessert.

All funds raised from the event will go to the charitable activities of the club.

The focus of Civitan International is support and medical research for intellectually and developmentally disabled children and adults. The club also supports:

- Exceptional Children classes at Ramseur, Franklinville and Coleridge Elementary schools, SERMS and ERHS.

- Local food pantries.

- Meals on Wheels.

- Local first responders.

- Victory Junction Camp.

- Special Olympics.

- And many more charities and groups.
