RANDLEMAN – St. Paul’s November opening is scheduled for Nov. 19 at 2 p.m. This month’s program will feature various people of Randolph County’s past and the contributions they made to this area.

Dan Farlow will talk about Peyton Randolph, for whom Randolph County is named. Danny Whatley’s person will be a Civil War Veteran and Rick Stanley will talk about Lee Petty.

Louise Hudson will tell us about Ruby Lassiter Culver and I will talk about my mother, Evelyn Kirkman. Libby Edmonds has also agreed to tell us the story of an interesting person.

Please, however, do not think the program is limited to this small group. If you have knowledge of someone we should know about or fondly remember, you are invited to share your knowledge and memories with the rest of us.

The 2024 calendars will soon be available, perhaps even by our November opening. The theme of this year’s calendar is the story of Deep River, and the pictures are outstanding. If the calendars have not arrived by this coming Sunday, you can place an order so that one will be saved for you. They will definitely be available by the December meeting, which is scheduled for the third of the month. The calendar price is $12. They also make great Christmas gifts.

The St. Paul Museum is at the corner of High Point and Stout Streets.
