The Randleman Board of Aldermen has set a public hearing to be held at a meeting to begin at 5:00 p.m. on June 28, 2024, at 105 W. Naomi Street, Randleman, NC, to consider the closing of a portion of a road. The hearing is to consider permanently closing the following portion of Wall Brothers Road (NCSR1941):
LEGAL DESCRIPTION — PARTIAL RIGHT-OF-WAY CLOSURE, WALL BROTHERS ROAD [NCSR 1941]
All that certain tract or parcel of land, being located in New Market Township, Randolph County, North Carolina, being more particularly described as follows:
COMMENCING at an iron pipe found in the westerly right-of-way line of Wall Brothers Road [NCSR 1941] at the southeasterly corner of property owned, now or formerly, by Goerge W. Mabe and Beverly O. Mabe (Deed Book 1089, Page 73, Randolph County Register of Deeds), said iron having North Carolina State Plane Grid Coordinates (NAD 83/2011) of North(y) = 757,493.43 feet and East(x) = 1,748,069.21 feet; running thence South 17 deg. 41’ 50” East a distance of 158.00 feet to a point in the westerly right-of-way line of Wall Brothers Road, the true point and place of BEGINNING; thence along the new southerly terminus of Wall Brothers Road a curve concave to the northwest an arc distance of 62.83 feet (said curve having a chord bearing of North 73 deg. 18’ 35” East, a chord distance of 60.00 feet, and a radius of 60.00 feet) to a point in the easterly right-of-way line of Wall Brothers Road; thence with the easterly right-of-way line of Wall Brothers Road the following seventeen (17) courses and distances:
1) Along a non-tangent curve to the right an arc distance of 159.42 feet (said curve having a chord bearing of South 15 deg. 24’ 31” East, a chord distance of 159.39 feet, and a radius of 2779.88 feet) to an iron pipe found;
2) South 15 deg. 07’ 18” East a distance of 52.68 feet to a metal disk found;
3) South 11 deg 05’ 22” East a distance of120.80 feet to a metal disk found;
4) South 10 deg. 25’ 39” East a distance of 156.37 feet to a point;
5) South 13 deg. 41’ 27” East a distance of 64.38 feet to a point;
6) South 15 deg. 55’ 54” East a distance of 81.54 feet to a point
7) South 18 deg. 45’ 45” East a distance of 65.97 feet to a point;

Thence along the line of property owned by the NCDOT North 23 deg. 51’ 10” West a distance of 60.14 feet to an iron pipe found in the westerly right-of-way line of Wall Brothers Road; thence with the westerly right-of-way line of Wall Brothers Road the following fifteen (15) courses and distances:
1) North 70 deg. 38’ 13” East a distance of 96.07 feet to a point;
2) Along a curve to the left an arc distance of 220.09 feet (said curve having a chord bearing of North 64 deg. 10’ 47” East, a chord distance of 219.49 feet, and a radius of 855.40 feet) to a point;
3) North 56 deg. 48’ 31” East a distance of 57.61 feet to a point;
4) North 57 deg. 02’ 21” East a distance of 325.07 feet to a point;
5) Along a curve to the left an arc distance of 147.81 feet (said curve having a chord bearing of North 16 deg. 12’ 24” East, a chord distance of 135.61 feet, and a radius of 103.70 feet) to a point;
6) North 24 deg. 37’ 33” West a distance of 243.51 feet to a point;
7) North 23 deg. 40’ 17” West a distance of 269.51 feet to a point;
8) North 21 deg. 08’ 19” West a distance of 105.91 feet to a point;
9) North 18 deg. 45’ 45”: West a distance of 68.69 feet to a point;
