Saturday night shooting in Asheboro leaves four wounded

Four people were wounded from a shooting incident Saturday evening in Asheboro.

According to an Asheboro Police Report, at 11:23 p.m. on June 24, APD officers responded to a report of gunshots fired in the 800 block of Salem Court. While en route to the scene, officers were advised that multiple people had been shot. 

Upon officers’ arrival, three victims were found at the scene and transported by EMS to a local medical facility. An additional victim arrived at the facility after being transported by personal vehicle. 

One victim suffered a gunshot wound to the head, one victim had a gunshot wound to the abdomen and one victim had a gunshot wound to the leg. The fourth victim’s injuries are unknown at this time. The condition of each victim is also unknown.
