Alicia Barker Fancher, 42, of Asheboro passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2025, on Father's Day surrounded by her family at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. on Monday, June 23, 2025, at Sawyersville Wesleyan Church, Asheboro, with Rev. Jeff Garner officiating.
Alicia was born in Guilford County and was a 2001 graduate of Southwestern Randolph High School. She began working in healthcare immediately following high school and spent the majority of her working career as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Activity Director.
Alicia had a heart and passion for helping others and brought joy to many residents during her 17 years at Universal Healthcare in Ramseur.
She was a loving wife, daughter and mother and took pride in watching her children grow into the wonderful "young man" and "young woman" they are today.
Alicia was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, James and Betty Barker; maternal grandparents, Robert and Annie Saunders; grandparents, Carl and Mary Ryerson and Henry and Alma Wilson; mother-in-law, Rebecca Fancher; brother-in-law, Donald Fancher.
Survivors are husband, Billy Fancher of the home; daughter, Kaitlyn Ballew (Tony) of Asheboro; son, Kayden Plummer of the home; daughter, Stepanie Larr and husband Andy of Burns Harbor, IN; sons, Steve Fancher and wife Sara of Kankakee, IL, Matt Fancher and wife Amelia of Charlotte; father, Randy Barker and wife Anna of Asheboro; mother, Paget Wilson and husband Rusty of Holden Beach; siblings, brother, Derrick Barker and wife Ashley of Poquoson, VA, sister, Jenny Allred and husband Jeromy of Manteo, and brothers, Charles Wilson and wife Brandi of Liberty, Wally Wilson and wife Megan of Asheboro; grandchildren, Zelda Duran, Maddux Duran, Indy Larr; great-grandchild, Belle Duran; nieces, Riley and Ketzie; nephews, Jaxson, Logan, Ethan, Avery, Kole, Cowen, Kade and Knox.
Visitation will be from 2-3:45 p.m. Monday at Sawyersville Wesleyan Church, Asheboro.
