Betty Jean Currie

ASHEBORO — Betty Jean Currie, 85, of Asheboro died Sunday, Dec. 4, 2022, at Randolph Health in Asheboro.

 

A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 7, at Loflin Funeral Home Chapel, Ramseur, with Pastor Ed Arroyo officiating.

 

Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Christian Church Cemetery, Ramseur.

 

Betty was a lifelong resident of Randolph County and a member of Pleasant Ridge Christian Church. Her grandchildren were the light of her life.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Honeycutt; son, Donald Bruce Honeycutt; parents, William and Edith Clark Reeder; sister, Lois Hayes; and brother, Tommy Reeder.

 

Survivors include her daughter, Sherry Abernethy and husband Jeff of Randleman; sister, Vivian Parks and husband Ray of Seagrove; brothers, Winfred Reeder and wife Jeanette of Seagrove; David Reeder and wife Tami of Seagrove; grandchildren, Savannah Nichols, Adam Fox, Aleah Honeycutt, Daye Jackson, Toby Honeycutt; great-grandchildren, Berkleigh Nichols, Makoy Nichols, Zander Ellis, Kinsleigh Jackson; and daughter-in-law, Amanda Honeycutt of Asheboro.

 

Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 7, at Loflin Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ramseur. 

 

The family will also receive friends following the service at the home of Jeff and Sherry Abernethy.
