ASHEBORO — Wid Henry "Bud" Nance, Jr., 73, of Asheboro, died Thursday, April 17, 2025, at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro, after a brief battle with cancer.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro.
Bud was born May 6, 1951, in Randolph Co., NC, the son of the late Wid Henry Nance, Sr., and Violet York Nance.
He had retired from Sapona Manufacturing Company and previously owned Draughn's Radiator.
In his spare time, Bud enjoyed working on cars, doing yard work and gardening, handyman things around the house and watching Westerns. More than anything, Bud loved spending time with his family. Bud was a good and hard working man who was a wonderful husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Nance; daughters, Kimberly Dawn Jarrell (Steve), Donna Renee Bowers, Amanda Dawn Johnson (Tyler); sisters, Anita Nance, Melinda Nance Garner (Steve); brother, Joey Nance (Kristle); grandchildren, Kevin Jarrell (Natalie), Brittany Goldston (James), Travis Hayes (Katelyn), Chrissy Vanzant (Johnny), Trista Hayes, Daylon Hayes, Rhett Johnson, Remi Johnson; and 15 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Ridge Funeral Home following the service.
