Charles Wesley Hicks

RAMSEUR — Charles Wesley Hicks, 93, of Ramseur went Home to his Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Alpine Health & Rehabilitation Center in Asheboro.

Funeral Services are 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Loflin Funeral Home Chapel, Ramseur, with Military Honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard and Pastor Bruce Dickerson officiating.

Burial will be at Sunset Knoll Cemetery, Ramseur.

Charles was a native and lifelong resident of Randolph County. He was a 1948 Graduate of Ramseur High School and attended college at Gardner Webb. 

Charles was a veteran of the United States Army and served in the Korean War. He was a faithful member of Fayetteville Street Baptist Church and retired from Champagne Dye Works in Asheboro. 

Charles loved the Lord and spending time with his family and friends. He loved playing his harmonica for others and he enjoyed watching baseball. 

Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Hilda Lawson Hicks, and his parents, Jesse and Winnie Davis Hicks.

Survivors are son, Phil Hicks and wife Rhonda of Asheboro; sister, Martha Kimes of Concord; brothers, Bob Hicks of Franklinville and Roger Hicks and wife Susan of Cameron.

The body will lie in repose from noon until 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Loflin Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ramseur. Visitation is from 9:45-10:45 a.m. on Thursday at Loflin Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ramseur.
