Donna Faye Kirkman

Donna Faye Kirkman, 82, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2023, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro.

Donna was born on March 20, 1940, to Helen and Berkley Allred. 

She was a resident of Randleman, where she lived with her husband, Roy Kirkman. She spent 25 years working as a secretary at N.C. State University. 

Donna absolutely loved all animals, especially horses. She got enjoyment from plants as well as painting. In the past, she enjoyed writing poetry. She will be missed by those who knew her. 

Donna is survived by her husband, Roy, of the home. She is additionally survived by: stepdaughter, Kim Kirkman of Holden Beach; three grandchildren; brother, Wayne (Barbara) Allred of Atlanta; sister, Barbara Preslac of Raleigh; and several nieces and nephews. 

Donna is preceded in death by her parents; her stepdaughter, Karen McKinney; and her grandson, Brett Franklin Long. 

A private funeral service will be held for the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Donna’s honor to the Randolph County SPCA, 300 W. Bailey St. Asheboro, NC 27203.
