Edward ‘Ed’ Manuel Phillips

ASHEBORO — Edward “Ed” Manuel Phillips, 85, of Asheboro died Sunday, Dec. 4, 2022, at Cross Road Retirement Community in Asheboro.

 

Funeral Services will take place at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2022, at Ramseur Wesleyan Church, Ramseur, with Rev. Jason Baker officiating.

 

Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.

 

Edward was a native and lifelong resident of Randolph County. He was a retired draftsman with the Randolph County Tax Department with 37 years of service and was a member of Ramseur Wesleyan Church. 

 

Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus Manuel and Thelma Brown Phillips.

 

Edward is survived by his wife, Mary Allen Phillips, of the home; daughter, Susan Phillips Williams and husband Grady of Asheboro; son, Edward Mike Phillips and wife Sherrie of Bennett; sister, Ruth Davis and husband A.F. of Erect; eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandsons.

 

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2022, at Loflin Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ramseur.
