Faye Webster

ASHEBORO — Faye Simpson Webster, 81, of Asheboro passed away on Monday, March 31, 2025, at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Danielle Webster.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Mark Wilburn officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Memorial Gardens.

She was born on March 1, 1944, in Alamance County, to the late James Howard Simpson and Vera Terrell Simpson. 

Faye was very family oriented and would defend them on just about everything. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren held a special place in her heart. She would call them on the phone and want to talk to them for hours. 

Faye started her career at Nantucket Hosiery Mill, while later, found her calling in life helping and caring for children. She loved baking for her family, including sweet treats like chocolate oatmeal cookies and banana pudding.

In addition to her parents, Faye was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Jack Webster; brothers, Raleigh Simpson, Tommy Simpson; brother-in-law, Frank Hayes; sisters-in-law, Delphine Simpson and JoAnn Simpson.

Ms. Webster is survived by her children, Lynn Wilson and husband Matthew, Ray Webster, Brian Webster and wife Danielle, Craig Webster; grandchildren, Keena Heaton and wife Marling, Ashley Wilson and husband Adam, Loren Webster, Brett Webster and wife Brooke, Dakota Wilson, Bryan Webster, Shane Webster; great-grandchildren, Devin Wilson, Caylee Wilson, Gracie Green, Gabriel Heaton, Wyatt Primm; sisters, Dorothy Ray and husband Donnie, Belinda Hayes; and brother, Jay Simpson and wife Donna.

The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. on Saturday at Ridge Funeral Home, prior to the service.

In addition to flowers, memorials may be made in Faye’s memory to AuthoraCare Collective, Greensboro Office, 2500 Summit Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27405.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Ray Webster, Ashley Wilson, Margaret Johnson and Loren Webster for their exceptional care that they provided to Faye.
