Geoffrey "Jeff" Buxton

ASHEBORO — Geoffrey "Jeff" Peter Buxton, 54, of Asheboro, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2026, at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.

A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2026. at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro, with Charles Reeder officiating.

Jeff was born on April 8, 1971, in Champaign County, IL. 

He was a carpenter, who was also mechanically apt. There was nothing he couldn't fix. He even rebuilt a Jeep from the ground up. Basically he was a Jack of all trades and master of many.

Jeff honorably served in the Army National Guard for eight years. He was a beloved father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and a loyal friend.

He was preceded in death by his father, Fredrick Edson Buxton, Jr., and his beloved dog, Max.

Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Justine Buxton; sons, Jerod Buxton (Elizabeth Bisher), Erik Buxton (Ashley); mother, Rebecca Buxton; sister, Lori Buxton; grandchildren, Finn, Cillian, Jackson, Iris; nephews, Aidan, Christopher; niece, River; and beloved dog, Loki.

The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. on Friday prior to the service at  Ridge Funeral Home.
