Isaac Worth Brady

Isaac Worth Brady, age 95, of Asheboro passed away on May 28, 2025, at the Randolph Hospice House.

Mr. Brady was born in the Pleasant Grove Township of Randolph County on June 10, 1929, to Isaac and Mae Kiser Brady.

Worth served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Randolph County Honor Guard for 17 years. He attended Jordan Memorial Church/LuLuz De Cristo Church. Worth retired from Pinehurst Textile/Vesture Corporation with over 30 years of service. 

He loved gardening and working in his yard. He enjoyed watching NASCAR Racing and the Atlanta Braves. 

In addition to his parents, Worth was preceded in death by his sisters, Loucilla Chilton, Madar Garner, Ella Mae Fagg and Betty Sue Greene; and brothers, Walter Ray Brady, William Maxton Brady, Lester Gale Brady and Garland Brady.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Claudette Stephens Brady; brother, Lavan Brady (Linda) of Seagrove; brothers-in-law, Bill Stephens (Sharon) of Rocky Mount, Phillip Stephens of Delaware and Joseph Davison of Delaware; sisters-in-law, Sarah A. Brady of Asheboro and Mildred Cox Brady of Atlanta, GA; and 7 nieces and 6 nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 1, 2025, from 1-1:45 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Ave., Asheboro. Funeral services will follow on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Glenn “Mac” Pugh Chapel with Rev. Chris Smith and Rev. Frank Ramos officiating. Burial to follow at Randolph Memorial Park with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
