FRANKLINVILLE — Johnny Haywood Maness, 80, of Franklinville, died on Jan. 4, 2024, at his residence.
Graveside services were held Jan. 8, at Clear View Baptist Church, Franklinville, with Rev. Tommy Kidd officiating.
Johnny was born in Chatham County and was a lifelong resident of Randolph County. He attended Central Carolina Community Church and was a member of the Cedar Falls Community Association/Historical Society.
Johnny spent a large part of his career driving a truck and most recently was employed with the Randolph County School System.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Blanche Marley Maness, and brother, James Maness.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Nance Maness, of the home; daughter, Mary Ann Armentrout (former son-in-law, Richard Armentrout) of Franklinville; grandson, Trent Armentrout of Franklinville; and brother, Jerry Maness of Franklinville.
