Karen Lynn Harvell Parrish, age 67, passed away Friday, Oct. 29, after a courageous 5-year battle of declining health.
Karen attended Asheboro High School and graduated with the class 1972.
Though rich she never was, she would gladly share all that she had. She was always taking in dogs, cats and goats. But best of all, she sheltered people with love and compassion. Gardening was her passion and she truly had a green thumb. She also loved NASCAR, music, old movies and hot dogs.
She is survived by her daughter Christina Wright; son, Christopher Boggs and his fiancé Brittany; her mother, Gloria Auman, and her stepmother and best friend, Barbara Harvell; sisters, Ilene Hieronymus and husband Cordy, Bonnie Lovell and friend Dave, Janet Allred, Donna Myers, and Beverly McQueen and husband Chris; daughter by love, Dawn; grandchildren, Desiree Wright and Jimmy Wright; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father Wayne Harvell, son Jimmy Ray Wright Jr. and stepfather Jack Auman. Also by her dear friend Johnny and her beloved dog Biscoe.
No service will be held per her request. All are just asked to do something kind in her honor. She will be missed.
Services entrusted to Midstate Cremation & Funeral Service.
