Terry Michael “Mike” Stout was born on Jan. 15, 1957.
Mike grew up along with two brothers in Asheboro where he was also an Asheboro High School graduate.
Mike found his passion at a young age to ride, drive, race anything with wheels. He soon got his first dirt bike and began to race in competitions and was very successful.
If he wasn’t racing, you can bet he was talking. Mike never met a stranger and his personality was like no other. He was always willing to help anyone out and talk to them for hours. Later in life, Mike became a life insurance salesman where he was awarded agent of the month and top salesman of the year at Jefferson Pilot, Inc.
In 1992, Mike became a father to his son, Dillon. His personal hobbies then turned to building wooden cars with his son and watching Dillon continue his dad’s passion of drag racing. In 2014, Mike became a grandpa to his first grandson Jaxson.
Mike lost a short four-week battle with cancer at the age of 64 in the Hospice House of Asheboro.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Chesley Stout; his mother, Louise Miller Stout; and a brother, Danny Lee Stout all of Asheboro.
Mike leaves memories behind with his son, Dillon Stout, and grandson, Jaxson Stout, to cherish.
There will be a graveside service Sunday, Oct. 10, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Brown’s Chapel Christian Church where Mike will be laid to rest with Shaun Garner officiating.
Dillon and his mom would like to personally thank the nurses and doctors of Randolph Hospice House for their dedication and support. Their care for Mike was outstanding.
Services entrusted to Midstate Cremation & Funeral Service.
