Thomas Reid Hill

Thomas Reid Hill, age 83, of Asheboro passed away May 14, 2026, at Randolph Hospice House. 

He was born Oct. 17, 1942, in Asheboro, North Carolina, the son of the late Blake Hill and Margaret Hunt Hill. 

He is preceded in death by daughters, Carol Moore and Aleisha Hill; sisters, Joyce McGee (James), Hilda Briles (Wayne), Golda Stephens (Bill); brothers, Corky Hill (Betty), and Bobby Hill.

Tom worked for Klaussner Furniture and later for United Brass Works as a machine operator until his retirement. He was a talented pool player, enjoyed watching westerns, and loved to travel to both the beach and mountains. He and his wife Louise enjoyed spending time going out to eat and were always together, wherever you saw one you would find the other. He will surely be missed.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 42 years, Louise Hill; step-sons, Daniel Millikan and Keith Millikan; a host of grandchildren; special nephew, Phil Hill; niece Allison Stanley; great niece, Jana Allmon; and numerous other beloved family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Midstate Cremation & Funeral Service, 304 Lanier Avenue, Asheboro NC 27203, with Pastor Adam Benningfield officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro NC.
