Photos of the big Eggstravaganza Easter egg hunt

Here's a series of photos from the city of Asheboro’s Eggstravaganza Easter egg hunt on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at the Cone Health ZooCity Sportsplex. Four age groups ranging from ages 1 to 10 took part.

Early egg hunters had to wrap up for the event, which was held with temperatures in the 40s a day after highs were in the 80s. But the cooler temps didn’t stop the kids from enjoying the sunny day.

And, sometimes, parents even let their kids look for eggs on their own.
