All-PAC teams revealed

The Piedmont Athletic Conference released its awards for fall sports. As all 7 team members are from Randolph County, all winners are local.

Let’s have a look:

 

FOOTBALL

Eastern Randolph swept all the top awards in the Piedmont Athletic Conference as Lucas Smith was named Offensive Player of the Year, DeSean Shamberger was named Defensive Player of the Year and Burton Cates was named Coach of the Year.

 

Joining them on the all-PAC team from Eastern Randolph were Jackson Bare, Julian Brooks, Maddox Carson, Eber Castano, James Combs, Aiden Goodman, Cade McCallum, Will Stalker, Kobey Walker and Ray West.

 

Making the all-PAC team from Randleman were Tate Andrews, Dylan Atkins, Ashton Dillow, Chase Farlow, Tyshaun Goldston, John Kirkpatrick, Christian McLeod, Ty Moton, Jonathan Simpson and Jonathan Stokes.

 

Jose Flores, Easton Gravely, Asher Perkins, Kempton Reed, Victor Rodriguez, Brody Sheppard, Noah Stills and Owen Whelan represented Southwestern Randolph on the all-PAC team.

 

Noah Bradley, Cam Nelson, Daniel “Buck” Rogers, Leyland White and Zorn Williams made the all-PAC team from Trinity.

 

Representing Providence Grove on the all-PAC team were Brady Collins, Bobby Gibson, Carson Jones, Jackson Lawver, Jase Locke, Jackson Rhyne and Andrew Thomas.

 

Danny Craig Jr., Dominic Hittepole, Jonathan Kelly and Josh Lowe made the all-PAC team from Wheatmore.

 

SOCCER

Southwestern Randolph’s Fernando Hernandez was named Offensive Player of the Year in the PAC, Randleman’s Dilan Chavero was named Defensive Player of the Year and Randleman’s Sean Fitzgibbon was chosen Coach of the Year.

Southwestern Randolph — Daniel Arellano, Aaron Avina, Noah Freeman, Jonathan Lopez, Brydon Tyl.

Randleman — Mitchell Carranza, Owen Leonard, Chris Lopez, Mario Martinez, Francisco Vences.

Trinity — Andrew Cox, Zack Cox, Riley Foster, Gio Jaimes, Cayden Pugh.

Eastern Randolph — Josue Cruz, Anthony Diaz, Danilo Perez.

Providence Grove — Bryan Carbijal, Saul Cortes, Eric Gonzalez.

Uwharrie Charter — Jaydon DeNamur, Victor Nino.

Wheatmore — Sawyer St. Clair.

 

VOLLEYBALL

Randleman’s Camden Scott was named Most Valuable Player in the PAC, Uwharrie Charter’s Sadie Upchurch was named Defensive Player of the Year and Uwharrie Charter’s Lee Kennell was selected Coach of the Year.

Uwharrie Charter — Kayden Faglier, Emory Johnson, Sadie Upchurch, Caroline Way.

Southwestern Randolph — Gracie Hodgin, Jade Matias.

Trinity — Karrington Batten, Kaitlyn McCoy.

Providence Grove — Mailey Way.

Eastern Randolph — Kenly Whitaker.

 

TENNIS

Deanna Cobb of Trinity was Player of the Year in the PAC and Rick Thomas of Providence Grove was named Coach of the Year.

 

The rest of the all-PAC team includes: 

Providence Grove — Abby Greeson, Audrey Frazier, Caroline Tidwell.

Trinity — Kayla Neam, Karla Rios, Jacey Wilson.

Uwharrie Charter — Delaney Aldrich, Macie Epps, Ashleigh Page.

Wheatmore — Tatum Wagner.

Southwestern Randolph — Caroline Farlow, Larson Kelly.

 

BOYS' CROSS COUNTRY

Freddy Mercado of Randleman was named Runner of the Year in the PAC and Providence Grove’s Dennis Lewis was chosen Coach of the Year.

 

The rest of the all-PAC team is:  

Providence Grove — Meshack Butler, Colin Duval, Aiden Shelton, Caleb Ward.

Randleman — Jedidiah Dake.

Uwharrie Charter — Austin Luck, Chris White.

Southwestern Randolph — Andrew Ormond.

Wheatmore — Tyler McCormick.

Trinity — Tommy Smithers.

 

GIRLS' CROSS COUNTRY

Providence Grove’s Laurel Bernhardt was named Runner of the Year and Wheatmore’s Will Brenner was named Coach of the Year in the PAC.

Wheatmore — Olivia Hildreth, Scarlett Hildreth, Lydia Madison, Emmie Messner.

Providence Grove — Lyndsay Brower.

Uwharrie Charter— Jazmin Palma.

Randleman — Callie Wood, Layla York.

Trinity — Kayla Franklin, Madison Hill.

 

GIRLS' GOLF

Megan Oakley of Providence Grove was named Player of the Year in the PAC and the Patriots’ Allie Nelson was chosen Coach of the Year.
