Randleman and Eastern Randolph continued to roll on Friday as they set up their duel for the PAC-7 championship. Here's a look at what happened during the week.

RANDLEMAN 70

TRINITY 0

The Tigers are back to winning like they did before last year’s slump. And their lopsided win clinched the top 2-A seed out of the PAC-7 for the state playoffs. Randleman and Eastern Randolph will close out the regular season, but the Wildcats are 1-A. That means both teams have No. 1 seeds for the state playoffs.

Amarion Moton ran for 4 touchdowns and quarterback Christian Long was 8-of-10 for 156 yards and 2 touchdowns.

The Tigers put this one away early by jumping to a 35-0 lead in the first quarter. Moton scored on runs of 13, 17 and 10  yards. Tyshaun Goldston caught an 18-yard touchdown pass from Long and returned a punt 50 yards for a touchdown.

Aiden Robinson caught a 16-yard touchdown pass from Long, Amari Ferdina snagged a 16-yard touchdown pass from backup quarterback Logan Laughlin, Dylan Atkins ran 11 yards for a touchdown and Moton added one more touchdown run.

Johnathan Blankenship had three tackles for loss to lead the defense. Randleman held Trinity to 32 yards total offense.

Randleman is now 7-2 overall and 4-0 in the conference.

Trinity fell to 4-5 overall and 0-4 in conference play.

EASTERN RANDOLPH 62

WHEATMORE 0

The Wildcats won their eighth in a row after a season-opening loss. Eastern Randolph, now 8-1 and 4-0 in the conference, has clinched a top seed in the 1-A state playoffs.

Wheatmore fell to 2-7 overall and 1-3 in the PAC-7.

PROVIDENCE GROVE 48

SOUTHWESTERN RANDOLPH 21

Zander Cheek and Zane Cheek each scored two touchdowns as Providence Grove breezed past Southwestern Randolph.

The Patriots are now 6-3 overall and 2-2 in the conference.

Zander Cheek carried 10 times for 131 yards and a touchdown. He also caught 2 passes for 60 yards and a touchdown. Zane Cheek carried 17 times for 111 yards and 2 touchdowns. Karson Bowman had a rushing touchdown, a fumble recovery and seven tackles.

Chase Whitaker intercepted a pass, caused two fumbles and made nine tackles.

Providence Grove hosts Wheatmore on Friday to conclude the regular season.

Southwestern Randolph fell to 5-4 overall and 1-3 in the conference. The Cougars end the regular season on Friday at Trinity.

LEDFORD 56

ASHEBORO 7

The once-beaten Panthers were too much for Asheboro.

Asheboro fell to 1-8 overall and 0-4 in the Mid-Piedmont Conference. The Blue Comets host Montgomery Central to close out the season on Friday.

Ledford improved to 8-1 overall and 3-1 in the MPC.
