Fall sportsmanship awards

The Randolph Sports Council held its annual Winter Banquet on Jan. 29 at Snyder Farms Restaurant in Sophia. Two athletes from the Asheboro City and Randolph County school districts were honored with Sportsmanship Awards. 

Honored were Asheboro High School’s Addison Allen and Kevin Rodriguez-Waldestran, Eastern Randolph High School’s Addie Flinchum and Nicah Taylor, Providence Grove High School’s Jayten Beasley and Kenzi Mundy, Randleman High School’s Seth Way and Audra Petty, Southwestern Randolph High School’s Marcus Robertson and Macy Walker, Trinity High School’s Grayson Earls and Darrah Anthony, and Wheatmore High School’s River Peterson and Ellie Garrison.

The guest speaker was Appalachian State University women’s head soccer coach Aimee Haywood.
