Football Roundup: Cougars post big victory; Patriots get in win column

Southwestern Randolph 49, Trinity 7

Levi Dalke tossed three touchdown passes to Davonte Dukes as the Cougars rolled to a dominating win. Brody Sheppard ran 17 times for 103 yards and 3 touchdowns. T.J. Costello had 27 yards and a touchdown on 4 carries.

Trinity’s Zaire Gill ran 11 times for 61 yards and caught 3 passes for 36 yards.

Providence Grove 23, Morehead 0

Andrew Thomas returned a punt for a touchdown and Connor Haithcock returned a fumble 28 yards for a touchdown.

Jackson Lawver threw a 58-yard touchdown pass to Holden Swift. 

The Patriots racked up 195 yards rushing. Thomas led the way with 11 carries for 86 yards and Lawver had 59 yards on 11 carries.

Forbush 32, Wheatmore 19

Wheatmore dropped its sixth straight home game in a 32-19 loss to Forbush.

Forbush built a 25-7 lead before Wheatmore scored twice to make it a 25-19 with nine minutes to go. Forbush put the game away with a touchdown in the final minutes of the game.
