Big wins by Eastern Randolph and Randleman set up a showdown for the conference title on Friday in Randleman. 

 

Here’s a look at last week’s action:

 

Eastern Randolph 43 

Wheatmore 0

Lucas Smith ran for 167 yards and three touchdowns in Eastern Randolph’s 43-0 win over Wheatmore.

 

Adonye Herbert and Troy Green each had a rushing touchdown. DeSean Shamburger returned an interception 85 yards for a touchdown to lead the defense. Rayden West, Nicah Taylor and Herbert also had interceptions.

 

Randleman 58 

Trinity 21

John Kirkpatrick was 12-of-15 for 279 yards and five touchdowns as undefeated Randlemam overwhelmed Trinity 58-21. Tyshaun Goldston had 3 catches — all for touchdowns and 115 yards. Amari Ferdna caught 5 passes for 125 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Jonathan Sampson returned an interception 26 yards for a touchdown. 

 

Trinity’s Dominic Payne threw for 130 yards and a pair of touchdowns while also running for 81 yards and a touchdown. Cam Nelson had 4 catches for 74 yards and a touchdown. Jaiveon Homes had an interception.

 

SW Randolph 16 

Providence Grove 15

Noah Stills threw a touchdown pass and Nathan Ellis ran for another while Southwestern Randolph blocked an extra point to preserve a 16-15 win over Providence Grove. Colton Law set up one of the touchdowns with a 47-yard interception return and also had a two-point conversion run. 

 

Providence Grove’s James Ellis ran for a pair of touchdowns and Tucker Batten kicked a 37-yard field goal.

 

Ledford 48 

Asheboro 27

Hamza Khan was 16-of-25 for 235 yards and 3 touchdowns in Asheboro’s 48-27 loss to Ledford. Elijah Woodle, Amare Godwin and Ben Luck each caught a touchdown pass.
