A busy week wasn’t headlined by Wheatmore’s Ellie Garrison as expected.
Injured in a club game the weekend before the week began, Garrison missed both Warrior games and remained tied for the girls state record for career goals with 217. She was expected to play in Wheatmore’s home game this Monday against Bishop McGuinness. In her stead, however, Natalie Bowman scored 11 goals in a pair of wins, including 8(!) in one game.
Read about what that meant and more from around the county for the week.
