BOYS BASKETBALL

*Chase Whitaker scored 18 points in Providence Grove’s 63-52 win over East Davidson.

*Sean Adkins scored 22 points in Southwestern Randolph’s 47-46 loss to Chatham Central. Kearns Trotter added nine points for the Cougars.

*Riley Strickland scored 26 points as Wheatmore beat East Davidson 62-40. Tyler Kimball was also in double figures with 16 points.

*Dominic Payne led the way with 26 points in Trinity’s 76-38 rout of West Davidson. Brandon Campbell added 19 points and Dylan Hodges had 14.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

*Maddie Hall scored 20 points in Southwestern Randolph’s 48-42 win over Chatham Central. Jordin George had 11 points.

*Asia Steverson scored 11 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in Providence Grove’s 44-35 win over East Davidson. Allie Frazier produced a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

*Brecken Snotherly had another big game with 35 points and 14 rebounds as Eastern Randolph beat Williams 58-50. 

*Brianna Hill scored 17 points in Wheatmore’s 52-47 win over East Davidson. Rian Perry added 14 points for the Warriors.

*Salem Lee scored 16 points in Asheboro’s 60-9 pounding of Thomasville. Malaika Khan added 12 points for the Blue Comets.

WRESTLING

*Trinity’s Edgar Vasquez, Spencer May, Levi Dennis, Gavin McCall, Charles Schaefer, Connor Thomas, Lawson Coltrane, Gavin Hardister and Joey Smith all went 2-0 in the Piedmont Quad Match.

*Randleman’s Kolby Garner, Braxton Walker, Jason Tadeo and Andrew Leonard were all 2-0 in a tri-match at Panther Creek.
