The SportsTone.net Christmas Invitational was played Saturday, Monday and Tuesday at Asheboro High School last week, too late to get any details other than these first round scores in the current edition of Randolph Hub:

However, some other games and matches went on last week before tournament play began. Some highlights:
Boys Basketball
■ Emmitt Frye scored 21 points and had 3 steals as Eastern Randolph rolled to a 97-60 win over Lee Christian. Cam Hinton had 18 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Tyler Gee had 15 points, 8 assists and 8 steals. Easton Garrett had a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds.
■ Will Dabbs scored 27 points in Providence Grove’s 75-53 loss to Williams. Andrew Thomas had 13 points.
■ Zaire Gill scored 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as Trinity pounded South Davidson 72-25. Walker Parrish scored 18 points, Max Routh had 13 and Trey Groves had 9.
■ Thomas scored 22 points in Providence Grove’s 66-61 overtime loss to Southern Guilford. Dabbs had 15 points and 10 rebounds. Cam Jones had 12 points while Gabe McKoy had 7 points and 8 assists.
Boys Wrestling
■ Randleman competed in the Eagle Invitational at Eastern Alamance.
Alex Raymundo went 3-0 and Shane Stevens was 4-1. Lloy Bosan, Braxton Trotter and David Pugh were 3-1. Hunter Hall, Sami Bosan and Preston Morgan were 2-2. Caden Littleton was 1-2.
■ Providence Grove swept Bishop McGuinness (65-6), East Surry (45-35), Jordan-Matthews (44-29) and Western Guilford (47-29) in the Patriots’ Grapple at the Grove Duals.
Jeremiah Payne, Aiden Poplin, Skyler Henderson, Caden Mercado and Ryan Bullard were 4-0. Malachi Combo was 3-0. Ayden Terwilliger and Charles Villaggio were 3-1. Tucker Coble was 2-1. Matthew Signor and Wyatt Signor were both 2-2.
■ Uwharrie Charter won the Great Smoky Mountain Grapple at the Harrah’s Center in Asheville.
Paxton Kearns (5-0) and Michael Shropshire (4-0) won their weight classes. Ric Riccardella (5-1) and Travis Nobles (6-1) were third. Andrew White (3-1) was fourth. Ayven Virasone Chitavong (3-2) was fifth. Michael Hardie (5-3) was sixth. Caleb Saldana and Brennan Worrell were 3-2. Jesse Bowles was 2-2.
■ Eastern Randolph finished 11th in the Mark Adams Holiday Classic at Cary.
David Lambright (3-1) and Maddox Carson (3-1) were second. Trever Crabtree (4-2) was fourth. Jamie Crabtree (5-3) was sixth. Joshua Watson and Trevor Young were 2-2.
■ In the Jerry Hampton Invitational at Central Davidson, Wheatmore finished fourth.
Ayden Summers (3-0) and Domnic Hittepole (3-0) took first place. Perry Russo (3-1) was second. Dylan Harris (3-1) and Spencer Moore (3-1) were third. Brodie Bates was 3-2. Terry Gillespie, Cayden Hammonds, Ben Dudley, Christopher Scott and Andrew Fayne were 1-2.
Southwestern Randolph was 12th.
Rafael Flores (4-2) finished fourth. Dante Lattanzi, Jamir Jaimes and Carter Horsefield were 2-2. Ryder DeGraff, Aaron Rosales, Tyler Taylor, Wesley Mulkey and Carson Jacobs were 1-2.
■ Trinity won the Elizabeth Barry Memorial Invitational at Mallard Creek.
Aiden Burkholder (5-0), Stephen Cross (5-0), Joseph Trahan (5-0) and Omega Edge (4-0) took first place. Addam Bernal (4-1) was second. Jeven Palmer (5-1) was third. Edgar Vasquez (4-2) and Hezekyah Matson (4-2) were fourth. Simeon Hammett (5-2) was fifth. Grayson Harris (4-3) was sixth. Harris Idrees was 2-2.
■ Asheboro was fifth in the Wildcat Invitational at Eastern Guilford.
Oscar Zelaya (4-0) took first place. Quanta McRae (2-1) was second. Jose Martinez (3-1) and Jonah Lester (2-1) were third. Owen Chidester was 2-2.
■ Wheatmore was 13th in the Tiger Holiday Classic in Chapel Hill.
Ayden Summers (4-0) took first place. Payton Russo (6-1) was third. Dominic Hittepole (2-3) was sixth. Dylan Harris and Spencer Moore were 3-2. Brodie Bates was 2-2.
Girls Wrestling
■ Asheboro competed in the Elizabeth Barry Memorial Invitational at Mallard Creek.
Grace Redding (3-1) was second. Brianna Munoz was 2-2. Andreona Thornton was 1-2.
College Soccer
■ Former Asheboro star Cameron Letterlough was named to the 2025 Division II All-American team.
The Chowan freshman scored 15 goals on the season and was recognized for numerous weekly awards.
