Boys Soccer 

■ Grayson Carter scored three goals and dealt two assists as Wheatmore rolled to a 9-0 win over Albemarle. Easton Dewitt, Jake Edwards, Jaylen Aquilina, Eli Bailey and Conner Allen all had one goal. Bailey had an assist and Emmett Frazier made five saves.

■ Milton Ramos, Sebastian Silva and Manuel Alarcon scored the goals in Asheboro’s 3-0 win over Cape Fear. Jonathan Ortega, Zamire Bush and Ivan Castaneda had the assists.

■ Saul Cortes scored the goal and Kevin Bautista got the assist in Providence Grove’s 1-1 tie with North Stanly. Aldo Rubio made 5 saves and William Ostwald stopped 3 shots.

■ Preston Ange and Kaden Reese got the goals in Randleman’s 2-2 tie with Wake Prep. Reese also had an assist and Jack Gold made two saves.

■ Isaac Garcia scored three goals and Aidan Almond had two as Uwharrie Charter blanked West Davidson 7-0. Caleb Golden and Junior Cruz got the other goals. Almond and Golden each had an assist. Connor Vaughn made 10 saves.

■ Edyl Amaya scored two goals and Carter tallied one in Wheatmore’s 4-3 loss to Central Davidson. Carter had an assist and Frazier made nine saves.

■ Alarcon scored two goals and had an assist as Asheboro downed Ledford 3-1. Castaneda got the other goal while Benny Zentella had an assist.

■ Kevin Garcia scored two goals and Southwestern Randolph beat Montgomery Central 5-1 at Zoo City. Cristobal Lopez, Yael Rebollar-Ortiz and Gio Hernandez got the other goals. Holt Tyl and Lopez both had two assists. Alex Aviles-Hernandez and Benhur Rodriguez each had one assist. Troy Adkins made five saves and Hayden Morrow stopped four shots.

Volleyball 

■ Mya Hooker and Addison McCoy each pounded eight kills in Trinity’s 3-0 (25-8, 25-9, 25-12) sweep of Southern Guilford. Avalynn Johnson had 17 assists and Emma Nance had 9. Ari Pinkston had 5 kills and 5 aces. Hayli Cox contributed 4 kills and 4 aces. Dakota Odell had 4 kills and 3 aces. 

■ Johnson had 53 assists as Trinity outlasted Asheboro 3-2 (25-15, 25-14, 23-25, 25-27, 18-16). Cox had 15 kills and 3 blocks. Hooker had 14 kills and 2 blocks. McCoy had 11 kills, 12 digs and 5 aces. Pinkston had 11 kills and 4 blocks. Odell had 10 kills and 3 blocks. 

■ Carly Rush had 13 kills, 6 digs, 2 blocks and 2 aces in Uwharrie Charter’s 3-0 (25-15, 25-8, 25-15) sweep of Surry Central. Aly Hussey had 7 kills and 2 blocks. Caroline Way had seven kills and a block. Amya Brewer had 5 kills and 3 blocks.

■ Karrington Jones had 6 kills and Lilah Covington got 4 in Randleman’s 3-0 (25-4, 25-8, 25-13) sweep of TW Andrews. Kenzlie Vaughn had 12 assists and 5 aces. Olivia Ashby had 10 digs and 6 aces. Cimber Price and Kaylee Phillips both had five aces.

■ Lilah Covington had 9 kills and Jones added 7 as Randleman swept Lexington 3-0 (25-22, 25-8, 25-0). Summer Rutledge had 6 kills, 9 digs and 8 aces. Phillips also had six kills. Ashby had 9 digs and 4 aces. Vaughn had 23 assists.

■ Cheyenne Dixon had 16 kills and 26 digs in Southwestern Randolph’s 3-1 (22-25, 25-22, 25-20, 25-17) loss to North Stanly. Sara-Kate Marion had 13 kills, Makayla Aaron got 20 digs and Mary Kathyrn Coltrane dished out 32 assists.

■ Johnson dealt 36 assists and had 4 aces as Trinity blanked North Moore 3-0 (25-13, 25-21, 25-10). Cox had 8 kills while Hooker produced 7 kills and 9 aces. Pinkston and Odell both had seven kills. McCoy had 6 kills, 9 digs and 5 aces.

■ Rush had 12 kills, 10 digs, 2 aces and a block in Uwharrie Charter’s 3-0 sweep (25-20, 25-21, 25-17) of Asheboro. Way had 11 kills, 8 digs and 3 blocks. Brewer had 8 kills and 5 blocks. Kam Leach had 6 kills, 2 aces and a block.

■ Reagan Beaver turned in a double-double of 13 kills and 11 digs along with 6 aces and 2 blocks in Eastern Randolph’s 3-2 (21-25, 25-16, 22-25, 25-17, 15-10) loss to Chatham Charter. Grace McNeill had 13 kills, 3 aces and a block. Vivian Underwood had 16 digs and 3 kills. Jersey Jones had 34 assists.

■ Dixon had a huge game with a career-high 25 kills, 20 digs and 3 blocks as Southwestern Randolph rallied from two games down to beat Pinecrest 3-2 (20-25, 26-28, 25-23, 25-19, 15-11). Marion had 14 kills and Aaron had 12 digs. Lexi Weidman had 10 digs and 2 kills. Coltrane had a career-high 48 assists along with 11 digs.

Girls Tennis 

■ Larson Kelly, Scarlet Kyle, Lexi Owen, Alyssa Hampton and Lily Auman won singles matches and East Davidson forfeited at No. 6 singles as Southwestern Randolph swept to a 9-0 win. The teams of Kelly/Kyle and Owen/Hampton won in doubles.

■ Tatum Wagner, Leah Puckett, Lauren Church, Emma Gower, Makenna Lawrence and Ava Botts swept the singles in Wheatmore’s 9-0 win over Cornerstone Charter. The teams of Wagner/Puckett, Ally Honeycutt/Addison McPherson and Anna Taylor/Haisley Davie swept the doubles.

■ Charlotte Smith, Madalynn Adams, Anson Frazier, Delaney Nall and Gretchen Phipps won in singles as Asheboro beat Jordan-Matthews 8-1. The Blue Comet teams of Adams/Frazier, Smith/Nall and Ghia Crandall/Phipps swept the doubles.

■ Kelly, Kyle Auman and Anna Hamilton won in singles in Southwestern Randolph’s 6-3 win over Asheboro. The doubles teams of Kelly/Kyle and Auman/Hamilton also won.

Frazier and Nall won singles matches for Asheboro. The team of Smith/Nall won in doubles.

Girls Cross Country 

■ Trinity’s Madison Hill was second overall in a four-team meet with West Davidson, East Davidson and Providence Grove won by West Davidson.

Providence Grove’s Bailee Mitchell was third and the Patriots’ Lyndsay Browder was fifth.

Boys Cross Country 

Wheatmore’s Ayden Fitzgerald placed second overall and Daylan Rada was third as the Warriors finished a point behind West Davidson in the standings in a four-team meet. The Warriors’ Jake Hollingsworth was fifth.

Girls Golf 

■ Asheboro’s Paige Kotlowski was second with a 46 in a three-team match at Holly Ridge Golf Links.

■ Providence Grove’s Adison Johnson was the medalist with a 48 in a three-team match at Piney Point Golf Club.
