Nov. 20 Prognosticating Pigskin Prodigies

Dennis Garcia

Record: 176-64

“Me in the front of  the room talking to a  large audience while  holding the Prog- nosticating Pigskin  Prodigies Trophy:  ‘I’d like to thank my  wife Kellie for all her  support throughout  this entire season.  Oh, wait. We still have two weeks left?  Doesn’t matter. And I’d like to thank all my  sponsors.’ ”

No. 13 CHEROKEE AT No. 4 EASTERN RANDOLPH — There’s absolutely no reason to jump off the Eastern Randolph Hype Train. ER, 37-13.

No. 13 FOREST HILLS AT No. 4 RANDLEMAN — This one will be a little tougher, but I believe this team can keep going. Too much talent not to. RHS, 30-21.

NC STATE AT GEORGIA TECH — Gotta take Geor-gia Tech in this home game. Wolfpack have lost some very close games. This might be another one. GT, 27-20.

NORTH CAROLINA AT BOSTON COLLEGE — Tar Heels had a nice win last week, but this one, even though they are favored, is on the road and against a team that has been playing fairly well. Time for anoth-er letdown. BC, 41-36.

WAKE FOREST AT MIAMI — There are always a few games each week where you feel 99.9 percent that you’re going to get it right. This is one of them. I think. Miami, 47-20.

CHIEFS AT PANTHERS — Stop Patrick Mahomes? No. Stop Travis Kelce? No. Score against the Chiefs’ defense? Not much. Kansas City, 40-10

Ray Criscoe

Record: 163-77

“It’s a dirty job but  somebody has to  keep doing it. I have  to admit my attention  has been distracted  this week by all of  the great ‘futball’  we’ve had in the area  thanks to the AHS and SWR soccer  teams. As Tuesday night’s games will be  done when you read this, hopefully the result  is I’ll be watching a state championship game  of one or both of those teams this weekend.”

No. 13 CHEROKEE AT No. 4 EASTERN RANDOLPH — In the old days, whippersnappers, you never want-ed to play a mountain team in football. Now ER will whip up on a second one in a row. ER, 40-13.
No. 13 FOREST HILLS AT No. 4 RANDLEMAN — Speaking of old days, isn’t this the team that ended the Tigers’ football playoff dynasty in 1984? Yea, as the guy in the mirror keeps telling me, I’m that old. Randleman, 24-24.
NC STATE AT GEORGIA TECH — The Yellow Jackets sometimes sting and sometimes fly away. I think the Wolfpack will be doing some scratching behind their ears. GT, 31-20.
NORTH CAROLINA AT BOSTON COLLEGE — UNC could keep rolling. Or they could suffer a headache only BC can fix. Lotta could be’s there. BC, 27-24.

WAKE FOREST AT MIAMI — Tony finally not picking Wake means I probably should. But ... Miami, 46-26.

CHIEFS AT PANTHERS — This would be the upset of the year. And also rather upsetting for Panthers fans wanting that good draft pick. Chiefs, 26-19

Megan Crotty

Record: 161-79

“First of all, congratulations to Eastern Randolph and Randleman! Secondly, I’m still terrible at these. Lather, rinse, repeat.”

No. 13 CHEROKEE AT No. 4 EASTERN RANDOLPH  — Understatement: It’s tough to play a team with a high-powered offense and a stingy defense on the road. ER, 34-14.
No. 13 FOREST HILLS AT No. 4 RANDLEMAN — On paper, this looks to be a close one. The Tigers will move on if they can stop Forest Hills from scoring early and often. RHS, 28-21.
NC STATE AT GEORGIA TECH — Nothing like a week of rest to prep for a Thursday night game. Wolfpack, 21-14.
NORTH CAROLINA AT BOSTON COLLEGE — The streak continues! UNC, 27-24.
WAKE FOREST AT MIAMI — The U is undefeated at home. That isn’t going to change this week. Miami, 34-10.
CHIEFS AT PANTHERS — Yeah ... . Chiefs, 38-7.

Tony Bolick

Record: 159-81

“So much for persevering and but I shall endeavor to do this again.” *Hmph* That’s all I can do. *Hehe* Because if you think about it. *Chuckle* There isn’t anything left. *Snort* Except, Awww-BAAAHAHAHAHAAAA ... Hooooo. It was really either that or cry.”

No. 13 CHEROKEE AT No. 4 EASTERN RANDOLPH  — The games will start to get a little tougher because now teams are good, or they have nothing to lose. Just not yet. ER, 30-17.
No. 13 FOREST HILLS AT No. 4 RANDLEMAN — Randleman’s back on track with a good start to the playoffs. Let’s hope that roll hits second gear this week. Randleman, 21-7.
NC STATE AT GEORGIA TECH — The Wolfpack are trying to get to bowl eligibility. But this week they just got rambled in a wreck. Ga. Tech, 27-13.
NORTH CAROLINA AT BOSTON COLLEGE — Football is a team sport. But every now and then, there’s this one guy. Omarion Hampton, 35-21.
WAKE FOREST AT MIAMI — Miami coming off a stinging loss, upset at the playoff dissing — but hey they’re Miami so everybody hates them. Not a good day to be in South Beach. Miami, 41-20.
CHIEFS AT PANTHERS — This is going to be a great game to watch. Mahomes’ magic will be on display. The Panthers? Not so much. Chiefs, 36-18.
