Union Pines 6
Edison Hernandez ran 20 times for 121 yards and a touchdown in Randleman’s 47-6 rout of Union Pines. The unbeaten Tigers amassed 409 yards, with 221 coming on the ground. Daylan Atkins ran for a pair of touchdowns while Micah Thurston had one.
Tyshaun Goldston caught a touchdown pass from John Kirkpatrick. Christian McLeod kicked a 36-yard field goal and Tanner Gneiting had a safety. Chase Farlow and Gregory Price each had an interception.
SW Randolph 20
McMichael 7
Marcus Robertson and Glenn Haltom ran for first-half touchdowns in Southwestern Randolph's 20-7 win over McMichael. Kempton Reed returned an interception 59 yards for a touchdown to clinch the win for the unbeaten Cougars. Owen Whelan led the Cougars with 87 yards rushing.
Providence Grove 24
Asheboro 14
Logan Fox carried 30 times for 235 yards and 2 touchdowns as undefeated Providence Grove rallied for a 24-14 win over Asheboro. James Ellis ran for 83 yards and a touchdown while Carson Jones kicked a 44-yard field goal.
Asheboro’s Logan Laughlin was 18-of-33 for 277 yards and 2 touchdowns, both to Elijah Woodle. Laughlin threw an 85-yard touchdown pass to Woodle on the first play of the game. The also connected on a 45-yard touchdown strike to give the Blue Comets a 14-7 lead. Woodle had 7 catches for 173 yards.
Wheatmore 15
Bishop McGuinness 14
Jonathan Kelly scored on a 14-yard run and carried for the two-point conversion, lifting Wheatmore to a 15-14 win over Bishop McGuinness. Kelly got the Warriors’ other touchdown on a 6-yard run and Max Smith kicked the extra point.
Trinity 34
West Davidson 21
Noah Bradley fired three touchdown passes as Trinity beat West Davidson 34-21. Bradley was 5-of-7 for 177 yards. Brandon Campbell caught 3 passes for 106 yards and a touchdown. Jacob Hodges caught a 45-yard touchdown pass and Daniel Rogers hauled in a 30-yard TD pass. Dominic Payne ran 15 times for 81 yards and a touchdown. Rogers also had a touchdown run.

Asheboro High School’s future Mid-Piedmont Conference opponents came out ahead in four out of five games last week. The lone exception was Montgomery Central, which lost its first game of the year, 22-0 to Orange.
