Sports Council names this year's Sportsmanship Award winners at the county's high schools

The Randolph Sports Council held its annual Scholarship Banquet on Monday, May 4, at Blackpowder Smokehouse in Asheboro. Elbert Lassiter of the North Carolina High School Athletic Association Board of Directors was the guest speaker. A male and female athlete from each of the Asheboro City and Randolph County high schools were awarded $500 scholarships. The winners are shown above.
