ASHEBORO — The 23rd Annual Bank OZK JV Holiday Classic finished up three days of play at a pair of locations on Wednesday, Dec. 28, and crowned champions for four divisions.

Twenty-two junior varsity basketball teams — including seven from Randolph County — competed for the title, but only four could leave as champions. They are:

Green Division Boys — High Point Christian Cougars.

Red Division Boys — Apex Friendship Patriots.

White Division Boys — College Preparatory & Leadership Academy (The Point) Royals.

White Division Girls — Northern Guilford Nighthawks.

To the right are the results from each division, including the championship game scores.

The event serves as a fundraiser for the Randolph-Asheboro YMCA Invest in Youth Scholarship Program. Participating teams pay no entry fee.

In the 2021 event, on the Boys side, Asheboro won the Green Division, Apex Friendly the Red Division and Glenn the White Division. In Girls play, Faith Christian won the Green Division.
