*Molly Bulla had three hits, including a double, and four RBIs while throwing a two-hitter with 11 strikeouts in Uwharrie Charter’s 8-1 win over West Davidson. Kynley Brewer also had three hits for the Eagles. Maddie Burrow and Logan Zephir each doubled in a run.

*Zephir had two hits, including a double, and two RBIs in Uwharrie Charter's 9-5 win over Union Academy. Brewer had a single, double and RBI. Zephir got the win, allowing eight hits and four earned runs with four strikeouts.

SOCCER

*Jaira Arellano, Natalie Flores and Tess Moody each scored a goal in Asheboro’s 3-2 win over Oak Grove. Carlisle Dozier made 12 saves.

*Iztel Macias scored on a free kick and Moody got the other goal in Asheboro’s 2-0 win over Central Davidson. Dozier was credited with 12 saves.

TENNIS

*Patrick Piansay, Will Slate and Jimmy Luna-Sanchez were the winners for Asheboro in the Blue Comets’ 6-3 loss to North Davidson.
