Welcome!

Two ... two ... two leaves in one

With leaves a little behind in changing color this year, here’s a gentle reminder of the colors that are ahead.

But, wait! Is that two leaves on one stem?

Paul Church shot this photo in 2020 after his daughter discovered it on the ground. The long-time area
photographer said he had never seen one of these.

So chalk up another weird event from 2020.

As for 2021, plant experts say that wet and humid conditions in July and August set up trees for a fall bursting with yellow, orange and red hues.

However, the warm temperatures and heavy rains in September pushed back the starting time.

But don’t worry: It’s coming. Maybe you, too, can find a sight to behold and remember.
